The Confederation of Democratic Society Organizations in North-East Syria stated that any unilateral method of determining the future of Syria would pose a danger to the unity of Syrian society.

The Confederation of Democratic Community Organizations in North and East Syria made a statement regarding the Damascus government’s ‘draft constitution’.
The statement called for the strengthening of social solidarity and values of co-existence, emphasizing that Syria, which has rich social wealth, cannot be governed with a narrow national and religious mentality.
The statement pointed out that any unilateral method of determining the future of Syria would not only pose a danger to the social mosaic of Syria, but would also deepen the division between its components.
Noting that pluralistic and united societies are more likely to survive the remnants of wars than other societies, especially Germany after the Second World War and Africa after the nationalist system, the statement emphasized the importance of preserving social solidarity as the basis for the reconstruction of Syria. The Confederation called on all social parties, civil and democratic society organizations to reject the policies of neglect and to work for a democratic model that secures the rights of all components.
