A delegation of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) is visiting Sulaymaniyah to attend the 1st Congress of the NADA Coalition. The Congress kicked off on Thursday and continues on its third day with the participation of around 200 women from 19 countries, primarily from the Middle East and Africa.
The delegation consists of DEM Party Co-Mayor of Kayapınar, Berivan Sincar, TJA (Free Women’s Movement) activist Zekiye İlbasan, and DEM Party representative in Sulaymaniyah, Fevziye Şiran.
The delegation held a meeting with the Governor, Heval Ebubekir, on Saturday. Information regarding the content of the meeting was not immediately available.
Some members of the DEM Party delegation are expected to visit some institutions during their visit to Sulaymaniyah.
