Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court in Oshnavieh has sentenced Kurdish civilian Hedi Shadi-Khah to 22 months in prison.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported that the court convicted Shadi-Khah on charges of “acting against national security” through his alleged collaboration with the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI).

The verdict was issued and formally communicated to him in recent days.

Shadi-Khah, from Oshnavieh, was arrested on 29 December 2024 by Ministry of Intelligence agents and taken to a detention facility operated by the agency in Orumiyeh.

After initial interrogation, he was transferred to Oshnavieh Prison, and provisionally released on 17 February 2025 on bail of seven billion rials (nearly 9,000 USD).
