The recent unrest in the self-governed Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods in Aleppo has taken on a new dimension.
Transitional government forces have set up barricades, blocking the road to joint checkpoints.
Due to the roadblock, operations at the joint checkpoints between the Internal Security Forces and the Syrian Transitional Government Forces have been disrupted.
According to ANHA news agency, the situation has led to disruption in security duties and increased security measures around common points.
Reports say that Tariq Bin Ziyad Park, located near the Ashrafiyah neighborhood, has been converted into a military base by Damascus forces.
