A civilian was injured in a drone attack near the northern Syrian town of Deir Hafer on Sunday. According to sources from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the attack was carried out by a drone that fired several projectiles. The attack was reportedly carried out by armed groups affiliated with the Syrian transitional government.
The injured civilian was hit near the Deir Hafer border crossing and then taken to a hospital, it was reported. The severity of his injuries was not immediately known.
The region around Deir Hafer, east of Aleppo, has been the target of several similar attacks in recent weeks. On the night of September 21, eight civilians were killed and three others injured in a drone strike on the village of Umm al-Tina. The SDF blamed pro-Turkish jihadists under the control of the Syrian transitional government.
