Four people, including ESP Co-Chair Hatice Deniz Aktaş, were sentenced to a total of 69 years and 3 months in prison.

The trial of Hatice Deniz Aktaş, co-chair of the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP), Ebru Yiğit, a reporter for the Etkin News Agency (ETHA), and Mert Unay and Nurcan Güllübudak, was held at the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court on Thursday.

The court sentenced ESP Co-Chair Hatice Deniz Aktaş and Ebru Yiğit to 17 years and 1 month each, and Mert Unay to 20 years and 6 months in prison and ordered their detention pending trial. Nurcan Güllubudak, on the other hand, was sentenced to 14 years and 7 months in prison, but the pronouncement of the sentence was postponed.
