Jones has been candid about her weight journey, tracing the turning point back to a holiday in 2010. “I came back from holiday, and we all overdo it a bit, don’t we? Something just clicked. I felt this was the moment to make a positive change for myself, and I haven’t looked back,” she explained.

She has attributed her lasting results to a simple but effective approach: a calorie deficit. In 2019, she detailed the process that helped her lose 4.5 stone over 22 months. “Although I’ve tried many diets before, I’ve never approached it in the traditional sense—simply consuming fewer calories than I burned. That’s been the key for me,” Jones said. She also noted that the schedule of writing Stella provided an opportunity to establish a new daily routine that supported her weight loss goals.

Jones’ recent projects demanded a different kind of preparation. Her role in Run Away required rigorous physical training and on-set safety instruction, including handling firearms and coordinating action sequences. “We had proper, serious training. It was taken very seriously—as it should be,” she shared.

One particularly memorable scene involved a flashback gunfight in an abandoned factory. Jones described the experience: “It was a big warehouse full of crates we had to hide behind, then come out shooting. I learned what a ‘squib’ is—a fake explosion mimicking gunfire—and how to handle and fire a gun with blanks. The guns are incredibly loud, and it was eye-opening to see how much work goes into staging a scene like that.”

The actress’ commitment to both fitness and craft highlights how she has adapted her personal discipline to meet the demands of varied and physically challenging roles, marking her evolution both on and off screen.
