Kurdish President Nechirvan Barzani received a message from US President Donald Trump on Wednesday condemning attacks on the Kurdistan Region, particularly the drone strike targeting his residence in Duhok.
On X, Barzani said he held a phone call with Tom Barrack, US special envoy to Syria and ambassador to Turkiye, who conveyed Trump’s message and affirmed Washington’s full support for safeguarding security and stability in Iraq and the Region.
Both sides also discussed regional developments and the implications of the ongoing conflict.
