From ’80s Television Fame to a Life as a Father of Four
Tony Danza, best known for his breakout roles in classic 1980s sitcoms such as Taxi and Who’s the Boss?, remains active in the entertainment industry decades after his rise to fame. Now in his mid-70s, the actor continues to balance his career with family life as a father of four grown children.

While audiences remember him for his on-screen charisma, Danza’s off-screen story has long been shaped by fatherhood, which began when he became a parent at just 19 years old.
Son Marc Anthony and a Brief On-Screen Appearance in Taxi
Danza’s first child, son Marc Anthony, was born in 1971 during his early adulthood. As Danza’s career gained momentum with his role in Taxi, his son briefly stepped into the spotlight as well.
At around seven years old, Marc appeared in the series in a small guest role during its second season, playing a character named Brian Sims across two episodes. Despite this early exposure to acting, Danza initially expressed reservations about his son entering the entertainment industry so young, believing it was not ideal for children.

Over time, his perspective softened as he observed his son’s natural ability in front of the camera. Danza later acknowledged Marc’s talent, describing his timing and comedic instinct as impressive.
Today, Marc is an adult with a family of his own and is a father to two sons. In 2017, Danza reflected on their shared time on set by revisiting a throwback moment from the Taxi days, noting how his son had since built a life of his own as a parent.
Danza’s Three Daughters and Their Distinct Paths
In addition to his son, Danza is a father to three daughters: Gina, Katherine, and Emily.

Gina, his daughter with his first wife Rhonda Yeoman, has maintained a largely private life away from public attention. Katherine and Emily, from his marriage to Tracy Robinson, have pursued very different professional paths.
Katherine has built a career in the beauty industry as a freelance makeup artist and consultant, working with well-known entertainment figures including actors Rachel Bilson and Leighton Meester. Emily, meanwhile, has focused on wellness and works professionally as a yoga practitioner.
A Focus on Fatherhood and Legacy
Danza has often spoken about the importance of parenting and the long-term impact it carries. He has described children as a person’s legacy and emphasized the responsibility of raising them with strong values, discipline, and character.

He has also shared that his children’s well-being remains central to his outlook on life, noting that a parent’s sense of happiness is closely tied to the happiness of their children. Over the years, those close to him have also highlighted the strong manners and work ethic his children display, something Danza takes pride in.
As he continues his career well into his 70s, Tony Danza’s legacy extends beyond television success, grounded equally in his long-standing role as a father of four.
