Carrie Johnson has delighted followers with a new family photo featuring her youngest daughter, Poppy, whose bright red hair stood out in a sunlit snapshot taken at the Johnson family’s Oxfordshire home.
The former Conservative Party communications adviser posted the image on Instagram, showing baby Poppy standing by a balcony railing at Brightwell Manor in Brightwell, Oxfordshire. Dressed in a yellow knitted cardigan decorated with poppy flowers and matching trousers, the young child’s vivid hair quickly became the focus of attention among fans.
Carrie and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson welcomed Poppy in May last year. The couple kept the pregnancy private until after the birth.
When announcing her daughter’s arrival, Carrie shared that Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson had been born on May 21 and described the newborn as “pretty and tiny,” adding that the family had immediately fallen in love with the newest addition to their household.
She also expressed gratitude to the maternity team who supported her throughout her pregnancies.
The couple are parents to four children: Wilfred, Romy, Frankie and baby Poppy.
Family Life Behind the Scenes
Despite the polished family moments often shared online, Carrie has also offered glimpses into the more chaotic realities of parenting.
During the recent bank holiday weekend, she posted a close-up image of pen marks drawn across delicate wallpaper and painted walls inside the family home. In the caption, Carrie asked followers for advice on removing black felt-tip pen without damaging the wallpaper further.
She later updated followers, explaining that while some of the marks had faded from the paintwork, the wallpaper remained difficult to clean. Carrie said she had already tried several suggested methods, including hairspray, and was waiting to test additional cleaning solutions.
