Halevi, 37, married luxury real estate agent Aaron Mazor in May 2025. The actress shared that she learned she was pregnant shortly after completing production on the 25th season of Law & Order, where she has portrayed Assistant District Attorney Samantha Maroun since joining the series in 2022.
Looking back on the early days of her pregnancy, Halevi admitted she initially overlooked the signs. She recalled developing an unusual craving for chocolate during the final days of filming, something she said was completely out of character. It was only afterward that she realized those changes were linked to her pregnancy.
As the pregnancy progressed, Halevi experienced significant emotional shifts that caught her by surprise. She described the intensity of her emotions as one of the biggest challenges, saying she often felt unlike herself.
The actress remembered moving into a newly renovated apartment with her husband, only to suddenly dislike everything about the space. Everyday situations also became unexpectedly emotional. One incident that stood out involved a favorite houseplant she had cared for over several years. After it was accidentally broken during the move, Halevi became deeply upset, later laughing at how overwhelming her reaction had been despite being unable to stop crying.
She said her husband found her sitting alone in a dark room grieving the loss of the plant, explaining that under normal circumstances she would have simply replaced it. Instead, the emotional impact lingered for days, highlighting how dramatically pregnancy hormones had affected her.
Halevi also revealed that her food preferences changed during pregnancy. After avoiding oatmeal for years, it unexpectedly became one of her favorite foods.
The couple had long hoped to start a family, making the positive pregnancy test an unforgettable moment. Halevi described the experience as deeply personal and filled with excitement, saying both she and her husband had dreamed of becoming parents.
Feeling her daughter kick for the first time marked another emotional milestone. Halevi said the experience created a bond unlike anything she had ever known, making the reality of motherhood feel even more tangible.

The actress and Mazor celebrated their wedding in May 2025 after becoming engaged nearly two years earlier during a romantic trip to Provence, France. Now, the couple is counting down the months until they welcome their first child together.
