Kylie Jenner has opened up about her future family plans, offering a candid look at whether she could see herself welcoming a third child during her relationship with actor Timothée Chalamet.
The 29-year-old beauty entrepreneur is already a mother to Stormi, eight, and Aire, four, whom she shares with her former partner, rapper Travis Scott. But while Jenner has previously made clear that she would like to have more children someday, her latest comments suggest that another pregnancy is not something she is contemplating in the immediate future.
Speaking with close friend Yris Palmer during an appearance on Khloé Kardashian’s reality series The Girls, Jenner was asked directly about the possibility of expanding her family. Her answer was notably firm when the subject turned to surrogacy.
“Trust me, the thought of carrying another baby right now feels insane,” Jenner said during a FaceTime conversation with Palmer, according to HELLO!, which reported the exchange.
When Palmer asked whether she would consider having a surrogate carry a future child, Jenner did not completely rule it out, but made clear that she was highly unlikely to choose that route.
“I don’t think so. I don’t want to say no, no, but I’m like 99.9 percent sure I couldn’t do that,” she said.
Jenner went on to explain that, from her perspective, there was little reason for her to pursue surrogacy. She pointed to her experiences with pregnancy and said she had already had “big healthy babies,” adding that she saw “no reason for me to really have a surrogate.”
Her comments are particularly notable because surrogacy is already part of the Kardashian-Jenner family’s wider experience with motherhood. Jenner’s older sisters Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian have both welcomed children through surrogacy. Kim used a surrogate for her younger children, Chicago and Psalm, while Khloé welcomed her son Tatum with former partner Tristan Thompson through the same process.
That family history gives Jenner’s comments an additional layer of context. Surrogacy is not an unfamiliar option within her immediate family, yet Jenner’s own preference appears to be different. Her remarks, however, concern her personal feelings rather than a declaration about what she may ultimately decide years from now.

The latest comments also do not amount to Jenner closing the door on having another child.
In fact, her public statements over the past several years have generally pointed in the opposite direction. Jenner has repeatedly suggested that she would like to have more children, while also emphasizing that she does not feel compelled to set a precise timetable or determine exactly how large her family should become.
In March, Jenner told Vanity Fair that she wanted to spend the latter part of her twenties concentrating on herself, her businesses, her work, travel and time with her children. At the same time, she made clear that motherhood remained part of her longer-term hopes.
“In the last years of my twenties, I want to focus on just me, my businesses, my work, traveling with my kids, enjoying my kids. And then…I do want to have more kids,” she told the magazine.
That distinction is important when considering her latest remarks. Jenner is not saying that baby number three is permanently off the table. Rather, she is describing another pregnancy as something that does not feel right for her at this point in her life.
She previously expressed a similarly open-ended attitude in an interview with HommeGirls, saying that she did not have a specific number in mind for how many children she ultimately wanted.
“Some women do, but I don’t really have a plan,” Jenner said at the time. She added that she believed things would happen as they were meant to while also stressing that she felt in control of her own life and decisions.
Taken together, those comments portray a woman who has left room for the possibility of another child without treating motherhood as a fixed timeline.
Timothée Chalamet has also discussed fatherhood
Jenner’s comments come against the backdrop of her long-running relationship with Timothée Chalamet.
The pair began dating in 2023, following Jenner’s split from Travis Scott, and have now been together for more than three years. Their relationship has attracted considerable public attention, but both have generally kept much of their private life away from the spotlight.
Chalamet has previously spoken about the possibility of becoming a father. In a 2025 interview with Vogue, the actor said having children “could be on the radar” in the coming years.
His comments provide context for why questions about parenthood continue to follow the couple, but neither Jenner’s latest discussion nor Chalamet’s earlier remarks confirms that they are actively planning a child together.
There is therefore an important distinction between acknowledging an interest in parenthood and announcing a pregnancy or concrete family plans. Neither of the comments cited by HELLO! establishes that Jenner and Chalamet are currently preparing to welcome a child.
Motherhood has already shaped Jenner’s twenties
Jenner’s hesitation about another pregnancy also has to be viewed through her own experience of becoming a mother at a young age.
She was 20 when she gave birth to Stormi, although she has said that she became pregnant at 19. Her first experience of motherhood came while she was still entering adulthood, and Jenner has subsequently been unusually candid about how pregnancy affected both her body and her emotional well-being.
In a 2024 interview with Elle, Jenner discussed the physical changes she experienced during pregnancy, including stretch marks and significant weight gain. She said that having a baby so young was especially shocking because she was suddenly seeing changes to her body that she had not experienced before.
She has also spoken publicly about experiencing postpartum depression following her pregnancies.
“I felt like I was on autopilot,” Jenner said, describing the period after becoming a mother. She credited friends and family members, including her sisters, with helping her navigate the experience and said it took about a year before she felt like herself again.
That history helps explain why her comments about another pregnancy carry more weight than a simple question about whether she wants another child. Jenner has previously described pregnancy and early motherhood as transformative experiences, both physically and emotionally.
She has recalled that the first part of her twenties was dominated by having children, figuring out her personal style and adjusting to changes in her body. She also said she gained around 60 pounds during both pregnancies.
Now, at 29, Jenner has described the later part of her twenties differently: a period focused on her businesses, her work, travel and enjoying the children she already has.
A different approach to the future
Jenner’s comments also illustrate how her perspective on motherhood has evolved.
Her first pregnancy arrived when she was still a teenager, and her second child followed several years later. By contrast, she is now approaching a different stage of adulthood, with two children who are no longer babies and a growing business career alongside her public profile.
Her decision not to pursue surrogacy, at least based on her current thinking, also appears rooted in her own experiences rather than a rejection of the procedure generally. With two sisters who have used surrogacy, Jenner is familiar with the option, but she has said she does not currently see a personal reason to use it.
That could change in the future. Jenner herself has repeatedly emphasized that she does not have a rigid plan for the size of her family, making it difficult to treat any one interview as a permanent statement about what she will eventually do.
For now, her message is comparatively straightforward: she wants to enjoy the children she already has, continue building her career and leave the possibility of another child open without rushing toward it.
And while Timothée Chalamet has acknowledged that fatherhood could be part of his future, there is no confirmed announcement that the couple is expecting a child.
The latest discussion therefore offers less a surprise announcement than a clearer picture of Jenner’s current position. Baby number three remains a possibility for the future, but another pregnancy does not appear to be an immediate priority—and surrogacy, in particular, is an option she currently considers highly unlikely.
