To mark 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, JinNews published the tally of violence against women.
The news agency underlined that violence was increasing in Turkey and North Kurdistan. It underlined that the impunity policy of the judiciary, along with the targeting of the Istanbul Convention and Law No. 6284, increased violence against women exponentially.
JANUARY
According to JinNews, 27 women and 4 children were murdered in January. In addition, 17 women and 3 children were found to have lost their lives under suspicious circumstances.
FEBRUARY
In February, 39 women were murdered, and 15 women lost their lives under suspicious circumstances. In February, it was determined that most women were murdered by their ex-husbands.
MARCH
In March, 24 women and 2 children were murdered, and 24 women and 2 children died under suspicious circumstances.
APRIL
In April, 30 women and 2 children were murdered, and 15 women and 1 child died under suspicious circumstances.
MAY
In May, 34 women and 8 children were murdered, and 18 women and 2 children died under suspicious circumstances.
JUNE
In June, 37 women and 10 children were murdered, and 7 women and 2 children died under suspicious circumstances.
JULY
In July, 21 women and 4 children were murdered, and 22 women and 2 children died under suspicious circumstances.
AUGUST
In August, 31 women and 5 children were murdered, and 15 women and 3 children died under suspicious circumstances.
SEPTEMBER
In September, 30 women and 1 child were murdered, 15 women and 4 children died under suspicious circumstances.
OCTOBER
In October, 43 women and 6 children were murdered, 22 women and 4 children died under suspicious circumstances.
