New footage of the violence against JinNews journalist Pelşin Çetinkaya and Yeni Yaşam newspaper employee Veysi Aküren has emerged. The violence continued all the way to the police station.

The police attacked the crowd protesting in front of the Batman (Êlih) Municipality the appointment of a trustee. The police attacked the crowd with tear gas and pressurized water, and beat and detained the journalists who were following the news.
New footage has emerged of the moments when the police beat and detained Jinnews journalist Pelşin Çetinkaya and Yeni Yaşam newspaper employee Veysi Aküren.
The footage shows the police dragging the journalists to the ground.

On the other hand, it has been learned that the police used violence against the journalists all the way to the Provincial Police Department.
According to the information provided by the lawyers, Çetinkaya and Aküren, who were not taken for a health check, were kept in custody.
