Kurdish political prisoner Zeinab Jalalian, who was sentenced to life imprisonment by Iran and has been in prison for 17 years, was denied the right to visit her family on the instructions of the Ministry of Information.

Zeinab Jalalian, who was transferred to Yazd Prison four years ago, has been able to see her family only once.

According to information provided by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), after Zeinab Jalalian requested to meet with her family at the beginning of last week, prison authorities said that visits were prohibited on the instructions of the Ministry of Information.

The family, who went from Maku to Yazd to see Zeinab, was forced to return home without seeing her.

It was also learned that Zeinab Jalalian, who was taken to hospital last week, was asked to be examined in handcuffs despite all objections and was not treated because she refused.
