The people of Şehit Xebatkar neighborhood in Kobanê have established a self-defense battalion called Şehit Têkoşer. “We are ready to be wherever there is a need. This is our responsibility,” said the citizens.

The people of the Euphrates Canton are responding to the call for mobilization by the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria by organizing village by village and neighborhood by neighborhood.
The people of the Şehit Xebatkar neighborhood in Kobanê have also announced that they have established the Şehit Têkoşer battalion and will join the mobilization.
Battalion member Ismaîl Elî said: “The people of the Şahit Xebatkar neighborhood declare that we have established the Şehit Têkoşer battalion. We are joining the general mobilization responding to the call by the Autonomous Administration. We will defend our people, our land and our city. We are ready to be wherever needed, within the scope of our responsibility to our people and our fighters.”
Saluting the fighters’ resistance at the Tishrin Dam and Qereqozak Bridge, Elî said that the people of the region will form battalions to protect their lands and support the fighters on the battlefronts.
