According to the daily report from the Hamas-affiliated Ministry of Health, at least 138 people have been killed in the past 24 hours.

87 of those killed were trying to receive humanitarian aid when they were killed in the Israeli attacks.

At least 61,158 people have lost their lives since the war began on October 7, 2023.

In addition, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that 9,205 children were identified as suffering from acute malnutrition in the Gaza Strip in July, the highest monthly figure recorded to date. More than 1,700 of these children are severely malnourished and 40 have been hospitalized.

While Gaza City saw the highest number of cases, thousands of cases were also reported in Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis, Rafah, and northern Gaza. According to the Ministry of Health, five children died of starvation and malnutrition in the last 24 hours.

UNICEF emphasizes that severely malnourished children are 10 times more likely to die, mostly from diseases such as pneumonia and measles, and that most of these deaths will not be recorded.
