The 2nd International Scientific Conference on the Genocide Against the Kurdish People in the Four Parts of Kurdistan began in Sulaymaniyah.

The conference at the High Crest Hotel opened with a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs.

The event is attended by Heval Ebubekir, Governor of Sulaymaniyah, academics, and writers.

Speakers emphasized that genocides must be conveyed to the world through literature, art, and the press, work must be done on the Anfal file, and the Kurds must act in unity.

Heval Ebubekir said, “There is the Kurdistan Region model in the south, the autonomous administration system in Rojava, and a peace process in the north. Therefore, the Kurds must not allow a disaster to repeat itself through internal conflicts and fratricidal wars. To this end, the Kurds must ensure their unity.”

Author Dr. Mihemed Ali Sultanî stated that crimes committed against the Kurds must be brought to the international agenda and that demands for compensation must be voiced.

Ali Sultani said, “Efforts in this context must be carried out jointly, and compensation must be demanded for the Kurdish people. International laws specific to genocide must be translated into Kurdish.”

The conference will last two days, and various topics related to the Kurdish genocide will be discussed.
