Restrictions against the opposition media outlets in Turkey continue unabated.

Ankara 10th Criminal Judicature of Peace imposed an access ban on 7 socialist news websites.
The decision was based on the arbitrary grounds of ‘protection of national security and public order’.
With the decision dated 8 January 2025, access to Gazete Patika, ETHA, Mücadele Birliği, Kızıl Bayrak, Özgür Gelecek, Umut Newspaper and Yeni Demokrasi Newspaper was banned in Turkey.
On 5 January, access to the X accounts of MA, JINNEWS and Yeni Yaşam newspaper was banned in Turkey.
