Slovenian philosopher Alenka Zupančič has urged support for Abdullah Öcalan’s call.

The Press Office of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) shared a message of support from Slovenian philosopher Alenka Zupančič regarding Abdullah Öcalan’s ‘Call for Peace and a Democratic Society,’ issued on 27 February.
Alenka Zupančič, a founding member of the Ljubljana School of Psychoanalysis, a tradition shaped by the influence of Jacques Lacan and widely known for her work on Nietzsche, sent the following message: “I fully support Kurdish Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s Call for Peace and a Democratic Society, and I invite all progressive intellectuals to stand behind his call.
The peace process in Turkey is one of those rare, unexpected moments that give us the courage to persist in our struggles, even in the darkest times when it feels as though nothing can break the iron logic of the entrenched deadlocks that dominate the world.”
