The Women’s Office of the Interior Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Cizîr Canton has launched a campaign aimed at raising social awareness against suicide and drug use under the slogan “Life is worth living.”
The campaign aims to strengthen support mechanisms for women, young women, and children, and to combat the causes of isolation and depression.
According to the organizers, complaints about suicide and drug addiction have increased in the region recently, making it necessary to investigate the causes and rebuild self-confidence and social solidarity.
The campaign, which began on August 10, will include sharing awareness content on digital media, organizing seminars and meetings, and monitoring participation data and pre- and post-campaign indicators. In the long term, changes in awareness levels will be evaluated through statistics and public opinion surveys.
The project is being carried out in collaboration with communities, schools, and universities.
“The key to success is breaking the silence and creating a safe environment that encourages people to seek help,” say the organizers, calling on everyone to actively participate in the campaign.
