The co-chair of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), Tuncer Bakırhan, addressed the government during a statement on Medya Haber TV.
Referring to the photograph taken on Imrali Island, he emphasized the diverse identities represented in the image, stating: “In that photograph, you can see an Arab Alawite, a Turk, and a Kurd, all colors of society. The state’s photographers took that picture.
I believe that photograph might have also been taken from a video recording because it was captured with a high-quality camera. Mr. Öcalan made his call there. Since Mr. Erdoğan has made such significant statements, he should allow the footage or video of Mr. Öcalan’s call to be shown in Diyarbakır (Amed) during Newroz. This written text does not reflect emotions; it lacks gestures and expressions. It is not read in his own voice and manner. Who knows how carefully he crafted each word?
