Actor and musician Corey Feldman has confirmed that a recent medical emergency he experienced during air travel was caused by a severe case of food poisoning. The incident occurred while he was returning to Los Angeles from Chicago, where he had been attending events tied to the anniversary of the 1986 classic Stand By Me.

The 54-year-old performer became unwell during the flight, prompting concern among crew members and leading to medical assistance being provided onboard. After the plane landed, emergency responders met him on the ground and he was taken to hospital for further evaluation.

Following a series of medical tests, doctors determined that food poisoning was responsible for his symptoms. He has since been discharged and is now recovering. Earlier assessments had also ruled out other potential causes, including gallstones, helping narrow down the diagnosis.

Despite the alarming nature of the in-flight incident, those close to the situation have confirmed that his condition improved quickly with treatment, and he is now doing better.
The episode drew significant attention from fans, who expressed concern and support across social platforms, sending messages of encouragement during his hospital stay.

The health scare comes during a busy period in Feldman’s career. He is preparing to release a new single titled “What Am I Here 4?” later this month. The track is described as an emotionally driven release aimed at connecting deeply with listeners, marking another step in his ongoing music projects.
Feldman has remained active in recent years, continuing to perform live and participate in fan events, including appearances connected to touring projects and celebrations of his long-standing work in film and music.
