Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan said that an application was made to meet with Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali for the third time.
Asked whether there would be other names on the delegation, Ayşegül Doğan replied: “An application was made for Ahmet Türk. Since there has been no response regarding the applications yet, I cannot confirm the information that Ahmet Türk will also be on the delegation. However, Ahmet Türk is also among the applicants.”
On 28 December 2024, DEM Party MPs Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan traveled to Imrali Prison Island to meet with Abdullah Öcalan for the first time. The second meeting took place on 22 January 2025.
