In the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq), guerrillas celebrated Newroz, Kurdish New Year, in the resistance tunnels.
Guerrillas danced to Kurdish music as they wished a happy Newroz to PKK founder Abdullah Öcalan and the people of Kurdistan.
