Hunergeha Welat has released the music video for its new piece, titled ‘Ji Firatê,’ through its official YouTube channel. The song, originating from the Arab community’s traditional repertoire in the city of Raqqa, North and East Syria, was rearranged by Mehmud Berazî.
The song tells the story of the role that the historic Jaabar Castle—located along the banks of the Euphrates River—has played in the lives of the region’s people.
The video, which blends traditional dances with a visual spectacle of the castle’s architecture, was directed by Şero Hinde.
