The Kurdistan Human Rights Association said that the Iranian regime sentenced a 32-year-old Kurdish citizen named Wehab Xedir Pur, who lives in the city of Mahabad in Eastern Kurdistan, to prison.
It was reported that Wehab Xedir Pur was sentenced to 10 months in prison by the Iranian Supreme Court.
The organization also noted that the Kurdish citizen was sentenced on charges of ‘being a member of an anti-Iran opposition group’.
Wehab Xedir Pur, who was summoned to the Intelligence Department of the city of Mahabad in January of this year, was released on bail after a week of detention.
Pur is also the cousin of Shamal Xedir Pur, one of the victims of the ‘Jin Jiyan Azadi’ Revolution.
