The Kurdistan Human Rights Association reported that the Iranian regime sentenced a Kurdish citizen from Mahabad in Eastern Kurdistan.

32-year-old Wehab Xedîr Pur was reportedly sentenced to 10 months in prison by the Iranian Supreme Court for alleged ‘membership in one of the anti-Iranian opposition groups’.

Wehab Xedîr Pur was summoned to the Intelligence Department in Mahabad city in January this year and released on bail after a week of detention. He is the cousin of Shamal Xedîr Pur, one of the victims of the ‘Jin Jiyan Azadî’ [Woman, Life, Freedom] Revolution.
