The former partner of reality television personality Jake Hall has spoken publicly about the emotional challenge of telling their young daughter that her father had passed away, describing it as the most painful moment she has ever experienced.
Hall, who rose to prominence through his long-running appearance on The Only Way Is Essex, died last month at the age of 35 after being found at a holiday villa in Majorca. He shared eight-year-old daughter River with Swedish-Albanian model Missé Beqiri.

Reflecting on the devastating loss, Beqiri said the news still feels unreal weeks later. She recalled receiving the call informing her of Hall’s death and struggling to accept what had happened. The overwhelming shock, she explained, quickly gave way to one pressing concern—how to break the heartbreaking news to their daughter.
She described telling River about her father’s death as the most difficult conversation she has ever faced. Although the family has tried to maintain the child’s daily routine, Beqiri admitted that the emotional impact has been profound. She shared that River has asked difficult questions while trying to understand her loss and is now receiving professional therapy to help cope with the grief.

According to Beqiri, River continues to receive support from both sides of her family, including Hall’s relatives and close friends. Her older brother Julian, who lives in Denmark, has also played an important role in helping her through the difficult period, with the siblings remaining especially close.
Cause of Death Still Undetermined
Beqiri revealed that she happened to be in Majorca on the same day Hall died, although she had no knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the tragedy at the time.

Earlier this month, an inquest heard that Hall’s body had been returned to the United Kingdom for examination. However, a post-mortem carried out at East Ham Mortuary was unable to establish a definitive cause of death, leaving investigations ongoing.
Grieving While Supporting Her Children
The loss has brought back painful memories for Beqiri, whose brother, Flamur “Alex” Beqiri, was fatally shot outside his London home in December 2019.
She admitted that the emotional strain has affected her sleep and overall wellbeing but said her children have given her the strength to continue. Focusing on their needs has helped her navigate another devastating chapter in her life.

Although she and Hall were no longer in a relationship, Beqiri said they remained in regular contact as co-parents and communicated frequently about their daughter. She said his absence has left a significant void, as he had always been someone she could rely on when it came to raising River.
Remembering Hall, Beqiri said he was a devoted father who shared a special bond with his daughter. She hopes he will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, playful personality, and the love he showed his family. She believes those qualities will continue to live on through River and the lasting memories they created together.
