Jennifer Lopez appears to have removed a visible tribute to former husband Ben Affleck, signaling another step forward following the end of their marriage.
The singer and actress, 56, recently shared a Memorial Day photo on social media featuring her 18-year-old son, Max, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony. In the image, Lopez wore a flowing white dress with a low-cut back that revealed the tattoo on the right side of her ribcage.
The design, originally unveiled in 2023 as a Valentine’s Day tribute to Affleck, featured an infinity symbol incorporating both of their names. In the latest image, Affleck’s name appeared to be obscured, while Lopez’s remained visible.
At the time she debuted the tattoo, Lopez shared photos of the ink online alongside a caption celebrating commitment and love. Affleck also got a matching tattoo, consisting of two crossed arrows marked with the initials “J” and “B.”
Lopez had previously joked about Affleck’s tattoo choices during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, where she criticized his large phoenix back tattoo for being overly colorful.
The couple’s relationship has drawn public attention for more than two decades. Lopez and Affleck first became romantically involved after meeting on the set of Gigli in the early 2000s. After ending their initial engagement in 2004, they reunited in 2021 and married in July 2022.
Their relationship came to an end in 2024, with the divorce finalized the following January.
In a recent interview reflecting on the breakup, Lopez said she did not regret the marriage despite the emotional challenges that followed. She described the experience as deeply painful but ultimately transformative.
Affleck has also addressed the split publicly, dismissing speculation surrounding the breakup. He described the end of the marriage as a personal and ordinary process rather than one marked by scandal or dramatic conflict.
Both stars have continued focusing on their careers and family life in the months since the divorce was finalized.
