The wave of repression against the independent press in Turkey continues. Journalist Eylem Babayiğit was detained in her apartment last night and taken to the Istanbul police headquarters.

Journalist Eylem Babayiğit, who hosts the program Mercek on Medya Haber, was detained in her apartment last night. She was taken to the Istanbul police headquarters. The presenter’s detention has been carried out as part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul chief prosecutor.
