British comedian Lenny Henry has opened up about a defining moment early in his relationship with ex-wife Dawn French, describing how their connection deepened from friendship into romance during their time on the alternative comedy circuit.
Henry, who has been in a long-term relationship with casting director Lisa Makin for over 15 years, previously shared a significant part of his life with French, best known for her work in The Vicar of Dibley. The two first crossed paths professionally when Henry attempted to bring French and her comedy partner Jennifer Saunders into one of his projects.
