The mass grave in Duhok countryside is reported to be containing the remains of seven people killed by the Baath regime.

A mass grave dating back to the Baath regime era has been found in the village of Mêrgetî in the Amadiya district of Duhok.
According to a statement by Amadiya District Governor Warshin Salman, the graves contain the remains of seven citizens from the village of Mêrgetî, who were killed by the Baath regime.
The remains found in the mass grave were reportedly sent to the Duhok Forensic Medicine Institute for identification and investigations are being carried out by expert teams at the site.
