Damon, 55, was unexpectedly captured in the background of a family video while watching two-and-a-half-year-old Lucy meet Goofy for the first time. The fleeting appearance has since attracted attention online, with fans focusing less on the Hollywood star’s celebrity status and more on his understated reaction to a little girl enjoying a classic Disney experience.
The moment was recorded by content creator Loryn Powell, who was filming her young daughter during the family’s trip to Disneyland. In the footage, Lucy’s father can be seen crouching beside her as she eagerly reaches toward Goofy. Only later did Loryn realize that another familiar face was standing just a few feet away.

According to HELLO! Magazine, which published the original account by Faye James, the actor was dressed casually in beige trousers, a dark button-down shirt and a baseball cap. Rather than drawing attention to himself, Damon remained in the background with his arms folded, watching the interaction unfold.
When Goofy bent down to greet Lucy, Damon appeared to break into a broad smile.
