Metro Center announced that 1,110 violations were recorded during the six-month campaign period for Iraq’s parliamentary elections.

Rahman Xereb, head of the Metro Center for Journalists’ Protection, stated that numerous violations occurred throughout the election campaign process.
According to the statement, most violations were recorded in the provinces of Baghdad, Mosul, Erbil, and Sulaymaniyah. Some of these violations included the use of state resources for election propaganda, tearing down candidates’ posters, spreading messages of hatred and incitement, launching attacks on candidates through digital media, buying votes, and attempting to unlawfully influence or alter voters’ opinions and choices.
