MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız called for the execution of prison sentences for sick prisoners to be postponed “until they recover.”

Feti Yıldız, Deputy Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), responsible for legal and election affairs, said in a statement on X, “If the execution of a prison sentence poses a definite danger to the life of the prisoner, it should be postponed until the prisoner recovers.”
Feti Yıldız added, “As stated in human rights conventions and Article 17 of our Constitution, ‘Every human being has the inherent right to life. The right to life, which ranks first among human rights, is the basis for all other rights.’”
