The fourth meeting of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, established in Parliament to resolve the Kurdish question, has come to an end. The meeting on Tuesday, which concluded in a single session, heard the foundations, associations, and relatives of those who lost their lives in the conflict.
The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, attended the commission meeting by invitation and made a presentation.
Representatives of the following foundations and associations were heard by the commission today: the Association of War-Disabled Veterans; Martyrs’ Widows and Orphans; the Foundation for Veterans and Martyrs’ Families of Turkey; the Solidarity Foundation for Martyrs’ Relatives and Veterans of Turkey; the Association of Police Officers Disabled on Active Duty; the Association of Disabled Veterans; the Foundation for Martyrs’ Families; and the Diyarbakır Mothers.
At its fifth meeting tomorrow, the Commission will hear representatives of the Saturday Mothers, Peace Mothers, Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Aid Foundation (İHH), Human Rights Association (İHD), Human Rights and Solidarity Association for the Oppressed (MAZLUM-DER), and Tahir Elçi Human Rights Foundation.
The meeting, to be chaired by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, will begin at 2 p.m and will be held in two sessions.
