In the city of Suwayda, located in southern Syria and predominantly populated by Druze, the people have launched a signature campaign demanding the right to self-determination.
While the online petition was initiated on September 17, signatures were also collected at numerous locations in the city center.
The campaign organizers stated that hundreds of thousands of signatures have been collected so far.
The signatures collected as part of the campaign will be forwarded to international institutions.
