The SDF Press Center said in a statement that the meeting was organized within the scope of the encounters held by the SDF General Command with the military councils in Northern and Eastern Syria.
The statement said that the meeting was attended by SDF General Commander Mazlum Abdi and General Command Council member Mehmûd Berxwedan.
Commander Abdi first evaluated the political and military situation in the region. In his assessment, he drew attention to the attacks by the Turkish state and the fight against ISIS gangs.
Commander Abdi also spoke about the purpose and effects of the attacks by the Syrian regime and its armed groups on Deir ez-Zor. He said: “This was one of the attempts to create discord among the regional components. However, the Syrian regime failed.”
The meeting discussed military actions, organization and preparations of the SDF against attacks on the Northern and Eastern Syrian regions.
In addition, the General Command evaluated the deficiencies in the work of the councils and asked for them to be overcome.
The members and commanders of the military councils presented their reports, as well as their military and organizational preparations before the General Command, stating that they will continue their duties with a spirit of loyalty and patriotism, and protect the people of the region and the unity of society.
