Three occupational homicides occurred on the first day of the holiday for the end of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr.

Workers Şahan Polat, Mustafa Izci and Vedat Çakıl lost their lives. The Health and Safety Labor Observatory (ISIG) announced that the three occupational homicides occurred on the first day of the holiday for the end of Ramadan.
In Istanbul, plumber Şahan Polat fell from the third floor of the construction site where he was working; in Erzurum, EDAŞ breakdown-maintenance-repair worker Mustafa Izci was electrocuted; and in Mardin, shepherd Vedat Çakıl was struck by lightning.
