The Komalên Jinên Ciwan Press Committee made a video clip in memory of martyrs Bişeng Brûsk, Sara Hogir Riha, and Vejîn Jiyan.

The Komalên Jinên Ciwan (Young Women’s Community) Press Committee has made a clip on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the youth movement’s leading martyrs, Bişeng Brûsk, Sara Hogir Riha, and Vejîn Jiyan.
Bişeng Brûsk and Sara Hogir Riha were martyred on July 28, 2023 in an airstrike by the Turkish state in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq). Bişeng Brûsk was a member of the PKK Youth Committee and the KJK Coordination, and Sara Hogir Riha was a member of the KJK leadership. Both young women came from Bakur, the north of Kurdistan, and were active in the youth movement in all parts of Kurdistan for many years. They participated in the organisation of Democratic Youth Confederalism and World Women’s Confederalism at a vanguard level and made invaluable efforts.
Vejîn Jiyan, on the other hand, succumbed to her injuries sustained in an accident during an operation in Hesekê on 27 July. Born in Cizre district of Şırnak in North Kurdistan, she went to Rojava to join the Women’s Defence Units (YPJ) after the brutal suppression of the self-government resistance by the Turkish state in 2015/2016. She made great contributions to the revolution of Rojava and courageously took on important tasks and responsibilities in the struggle for freedom.
