1,500 letters written by women in six cities in North-East Syria will be sent to Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali.

The umbrella organization of women in North-East Syria, Kongra Star, organized a series of events in Cizirê Canton as part of the “I want to meet with Leader Abdullah Öcalan” campaign.
The campaign, which was launched on September 9, was carried out in the cities of Hesekê, Til Temir, Dirbêsiyê, Til Berak, Hol, and Shaddadi.
Kongra Star member Alaa Ibrahim read the statement marking the conclusion of the campaign.
Within the framework of the events, 1,500 letters addressed to Abdullah Öcalan were delivered today to the Kongra Star General Headquarters in Hesekê. The letters will be sent to Imrali Island Prison where the Kurdish leader has been incarcerated since 1999.
